Modules of Webra 3.0
May 08, 2009

Hereinafter, a brief introduction of the Webra modules:

Webra contains a central directory. After registration, personal data an encrypted password get into the central directory. The encoding is unidirectional so that to stay hidden even from administrators. The most commonly requested data during registration: Username, first and last name, e-mail address, and password confirmed. It is possible to generate e-mails for activation to filter out fake e-mail addresses. By integrating Captcha (set of characters in a picture for the user to retype in a box), registration of bots visiting our site can be avoided.
With the central directory, it is possible to use single sign on so that all modules and integrated applications requiring registration are able to check permissions during one single signing in.
It is mandatory to enter correct username and password to login successfully. If the user enters incorrect data repeatedly, it will be banned for a certain period. Number of trials and the length of ban period can be configured easily. The forgotten password option allows generating a new password and sending it to the e-mail address given by the user. New users are assignable to more user groups in the system manually and automatically as well so as to be provided with extra permissions. If someone forgets their password, the system generates a new one and sends it to the user via e-mail.
Integration of Active Directory or other LDAP address directories is also feasible, thus the users do not have to mark another password, because after signing in to Windows, the system can log them in automatically.
CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart; which comes in the form of an image of slightly distorted alphanumeric characters, that humans can read and type in easily) integration helps to stop bots and other automated programs from using the site to send spam, gain higher search engine rankings etc.

Deeplink Menu
Deeplink menu: In the order of submenu weights (importance), x submenu names are listed below each main menu name (x=3 by default) to ensure easier access to the submenus. By using deep menu, it is not necessary to click on the main menu name to access the submenus. If a main menu contains more than x submenus, “…” characters show that there are more of them to be seen. For example: http://web.mit.edu

Forum module:
A multilevel hierarchy of Topics can be created and managed easily.
Pre- and post moderation is possible as well. The automatic elimination of swear-words is based on an extendable vocabulary. Forum users and posts can be managed by moderator users who have proper permissions. Forum posts can be filtered from HTML elements except for permitted elements (like Bold, Italic, Underlined etc. )

Tagcloud Module
A tagcloud is a set of expressions that characterize the content of the website. Content editors are able to assign the tag words to each article, image, document and other peace of content, that are upoladed in the system. The often used tags get bigger font sizes and different style. Tags can be listed simultaneously with the specific content they are assigned to. By clicking on the tag sin the cloud, the objects carrying it will be listed. It is rewarding to place this module in a the start page so that to show an alternative pathway to our visitors to the most important topics and helps to capitalize from search engine optimization principles. The number of tags appearing and different font sizes can be configured.

Most popular
By observing web server logs, this module aggregates and shows the most often clicked pieces of content (e.g. articles, menus..) in a single list. Time period of the aggregation process can be set.

Newsletter module
It is possible to send newsletters on different topics via e-mail with the help of a web surface. The module is compatible with different e-mail clients. Plain text contents without formatting (text) and formatted messages containing pictures (HTML) can be created as well, and what’s more, it is possible to send them together. Archiving and archive listing of former issues on the web page is also feasible.

E-ticketing, webshop
It is possible to create any number of products and organize them into a multilevel product category hierarchy. On product can be included in more categories. On the webpage, different types of tickets and other products can be put into the shopping cart.
With the help of the pay module, it is possible to acquit the bill with credit card, sms messages, Paypal that is able to create an electronic invoice, or on behalf of an international supplier (e.g. BIBIT). To resort to sms and credit card payments, a complementary contract will be needed with the bank and/or the mobile suppliers. In case of a fully sms based payment, internet connection is not necessary; the customer only needs a cell phone for the transaction.
Orders will be confirmed during the transactions and via e-mail. The system creates order identification codes and barcodes making possible to print e-tickets. Billing data is also stored to enable invoice printing as well.
A real time integration with other cashier applications (XML) is feasible to enable invoice printing, signing in, and tracking disposable tickets.
Visitors can buy tickets as present for their families and friends. In this case, the system sends an e-mail to the given e-mail address of the beneficiary person.
No registration is mandatory for using the webshop. Billing and shipping data will be asked during the transaction from new visitors. Registered users can track their former shopping transactions and get discounts.
Portal tourguide
This module tracks visitors activity on the portal (visited sites and contents, products in the shopping cart etc. ). After summarizing the logs, a commendatory can be made available on the public portal and on the administration interface as well. E.g.: People buying X product also preferred Y.

Event calendar:
Event name, location, date and time can be registered; and articles are assignable to all events. An integrated mini calendar application is available for picking dates and listing events. Recurring events can also be defined with different period settings (y, m, w, d, etc. )

Comment Module
Visitors are able to post shouts in reference to portal articles, webshop products, or any other piece of content. Signing in is not mandatory, CAPTCHA makes is possible to avoid robots (visitors have to read and retype different sets of characters).

Protected folder, protected documents and extranet surfaces
Protected objects (articles, menus, documents) of the public portal are only accessible with password and proper permissions. We offer preset, different states of object accessibility:
a, accessible for all visitors;
b, accessible for registered visitors;
c, accessible for members of predefined groups.
The number of predefined groups is arbitrary.

Fast search
The system is able to search within 200 millisecs time even in case of enormous amounts of data. During typing the searchword, results start to appear immediately. It is possible to search for whole words, fragments and expressions. Time limit for search processes can also be defined. The folders searched can be preset and modified. The system is able to search for mandatorily appearing words, or words appearing in predefined content parts (title, text, intro etc. ). The result list is sectioned and grouped by content type (articles, menus, documents, images, users, etc.). relevance based search and Google integration make this module a multilateral part of both website and administration interface.

RSS
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. “It is a family of Web feed formats (XML) used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format. They benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favored websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place. RSS feeds can be read using software called an "RSS reader", "feed reader", or aggregator.” - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(file_format)
RSS can be set for any selected folders.

News& image scroller
A large image appears on the main page, containing title, intro, etc. of the related article on a semi-transparent surface. By clicking on “read more” or on the title, text of the related article appears. The large image and the related article data are changing continuously and automatically like a slideshow, so as to show more relevant piece of news on a surface. Switching period of the images can be configured (3-4 secs by default). The huge image is impressive and thus able to emphasize the content of the piece of news related to it. The slideshow can be stopped with a mouseclick on a special button, and visitors can also click for next/previous article. Example: http://www.zoobudapest.com/magyar

Send-a-Postcard
Visitors are able to pick a virtual postcard from a list and send it to any existing e-mail address with a personal felicitation. Further information and links are assignable to postcard images, thus encouraging visitors to come and see the site.

Banner module
Integration, arrangement and setting of more banners on the same place, likelihood of appearance can be set in percents and statistics of onclicks prepared.

Language switch

More articles written in different languages can be organized in groups on the administration interface. To view another language version, visitors can click on little flags appearing in the corner of the article area or next to the title.

Weather forecast
Integration of a special Yahoo XML service makes possible to provide up-to-date information.
