July 14, 2008The National Office for Research and Technology (NKTH) has a key role in developing and implementing Hungary's science, technology and innovation policies. NKTH supports financially and by institutional means the creation, dissemination and exploitation of new knowledge and technology. Its activity is financed by the Research and Technology Innovation Fund. This public funding is recycled by NKTH into the Hungarian economy by supporting R&D activities, primarily through its system of calls for proposals. -

Earlier, incorrectly filled forms posed a problem, but from now on, if there is incorrect information entered, students immediately get an e-mail or a text message with their password and identification code, so they can easily correct the wrong data through a secure channel. -
March 29, 2006The student card is a VISA card size polycarbonate flat which contains the photo, signature and personal data of the owner, the identification number of the card, elementary school / high school / university(ies) attended and a hologram of the type of course (full-time/part-time student, correspondent student, etc.). The higher education card incorporates a chip as well. The data on these cards are engraved via laser technology. So the Hungarian student card has become the world's first, country-wide used card integrated with a chip. -
